Apart from the normal everyday uses for JIM™Thin Bleach, there are a few other handy uses we tend to forget, like:

Use 1: Revive yellowed plastic containers and cutting boards

Add 1/2 cup of bleach to four litres of hot water. Submerge the yellowed plastic containers for about 30 minutes to an hour and wash normally afterwards.

Use 2: Disinfect birdbaths

Mix 9 parts water to 1 part bleach. Scrub the bath with this solution using a brush. Rinse thoroughly multiple times with clean water before refilling the bath.

Use 3: Preserve cut flowers

Add 1/4 teaspoon of bleach per quart of vase water. This small amount helps prevent bacterial growth without harming the flowers. Change the water and re-trim stems every few days, adding fresh bleach each time.

Use 4: Remove tea and coffee stains from mugs

Fill the stained mug with a solution of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and wash as usual.

Use 5: Brighten grout

Mix equal parts bleach and water in a spray bottle. Spray grout lines, avoiding any coloured tiles. Leave for 10-15 minutes and scrub with a grout brush or old toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Remember to ventilate the area well during this process.
