Dishwasher Cleaner: 7 Tips to take care of the household’s favourite appliance
15 September 2023Every household has a personal preference when it comes to fabric softener use. It is either used on some loads and not on others or excluded altogether.
Did you know that static electricity from clothes can reach voltages ranging from around 1,000 to 35,000 volts?
Fabric softener can help address static in clothing, but that is only the beginning.
Other benefits of using a fabric softener:
- To make fabrics feel softer and smoother to the touch.
- To add a pleasant and long-lasting fragrance to clothes and linens.
- To prevent wrinkles and creases from setting into fabrics.
- To improve the absorbency, which could lead to faster drying times.
- To help maintain the colour vibrancy and shape of clothes.
Tips to use fabric softener effectively:
- Always read and follow the instructions on the bottle.
- Before using it, check the care labels on your clothing and linens.
- Always use the recommended amount according to the instructions.
- Never pour fabric softener directly onto clothes or fabrics.
- If your washing machine has a fabric softener dispenser, clean it regularly to prevent clogs and ensure proper distribution.
Non-conventional fabric softener uses:
- Add it to your toilet tank for an instant fresh smell.
- Use it to clean burnt pots and pans.
- Use it to remove stickers and labels.
- Remove shower door scum with it.
