Winter Pests: 3 Tips To Keep Unwanted Guests Out
27 June 2025Cleaning is unavoidable. But we might as well be smart about the products we buy and how we use them. At Cleaning Warehouse, we believe that cleaning is not just a chore but a positive act towards creating healthy environments for our families and schools.
In this article, we share additional uses for some of our most loved products, so you can get even more value from your favourites.
1. All-Purpose Cleaner
Our All-Purpose Cleaner is a favourite because it is an excellent degreaser and cleaner. It also contains eco-friendly raw materials (no solvents), which make it better for the environment and safer around children and animals.
With this cleaner you can clean virtually any surface, from tiles to engine parts.
Tip: Add All-Purpose Cleaner in a spray bottle with water (1:30) to create your own, easy-to-use surface spray.
Alternative uses:
- Spray the inside and outside of your dustbins to neutralise odours.
- Spray and wipe down handbags and lunchboxes to keep them clean and hygienic.
- Use this product to wash dog kennels and litter trays.
- Spot-clean carpet stains by simply spraying and blotting.
- Spray car floor mats and wipe the dashboard for a quick, deodorising refresh.
- Clean gym or office equipment like yoga mats, weights, or desk phones.
- Use to pretreat tough stains on laundry.
2. Microfiber Cloths
The fibres of our soft, reusable microfibre cloths are tiny but powerful and can trap dust, grease, and grime without the need for any chemicals. Plus, they’re gentle on surfaces, making them safe to use on anything from glass to electronics.
What’s also great is that they are durable, affordable, and machine washable – so you can use them again and again.
Tip: Colour-code your cloths (e.g. blue for glass, green for kitchen, yellow for bathroom) to keep your cleaning routine hygienic.
Alternative uses:
- Use dry as a duster for blinds, baseboards, or delicate ornaments.
- Clean windows and mirrors with just water.
- Wrap around a broom to dust under furniture.
- Keep one in the car for wiping dashboards or cleaning smudged touchscreens.
- Moisten and use it as a reusable makeup remover “wipe”.
3. OXY Washing Powder
OXY Washing Powder is a loved product because it’s a powerful stain remover. It also doesn’t contain any phosphates, making it super gentle on fabric as well as skin. The formulation is highly concentrated (economical) and boasts new movement technology that makes the fragrance stay for longer.
Our washing powder also won’t cause any build up in your machine. In fact, it will help you remove previous build up caused by other detergents.
Tip: Keep a spray bottle of pre-mixed OXY solution (1 scoop to 1L warm water) in your laundry or cleaning cupboard for quick spot-cleaning on fabrics, shoes, and even bathroom tiles.
Alternative uses:
- Make a paste with a small amount of detergent and water to treat grout stains.
- Add a scoop to your mop bucket for sparkling tiles with a fresh scent.
- Soak pet bedding or gym gear for a deep clean that lifts lingering odours.
- Add half a scoop of OXY to your toilet bowl overnight. The oxygen action helps lift stains and deodorise.
