Cleaning Warehouse (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information at Cleaning Warehouse (https://cleaningwarehouse.co.za), in compliance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and related lawspopiact-compliance.co.za. We collect personal data from you only for specific, lawful purposes and use it in a transparent manner. Our goal is to give you control over your data and to be fully open about our practices.

What Data We Collect

We collect the following types of information from customers and website visitors:

• Personal Contact Data: Name, email address, and WhatsApp phone number. These are provided voluntarily by you when you sign up for an account, join the My Family Rewards program, or submit forms on our site. (For example, our signup forms require your name, email, and WhatsApp number so we can set up your account.)

• Account Information: Any other details you provide in your Cleaning Warehouse profile (e.g. address or purchase history) when using our services.

• Communications: Any messages, inquiries, or feedback you send to us (for example via email or contact form), including any personal details you include.

• Cookies and Usage Data: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about how you use our website. This may include your IP address (anonymized), browser type, pages visited, and times of visits. This data is used only in an aggregated or de-identified form – we do not associate it with you personally. For example, our policy is to use only functional cookies required for the site to work, including Google Analytics cookies, and we analyze visitor behavior using de-identified datapopia.co.za. In other words, Google Analytics helps us measure site performance (which pages are popular, etc.) without telling us who you arepopia.co.zapopia.co.za.

We collect data directly from you (when you input it) and automatically (via cookies and analytics). In all cases, we will inform you which fields are required. If you do not provide requested personal data, we may not be able to provide you with certain services.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• Account and Service Management: To create and manage your Cleaning Warehouse account and My Family Rewards profile. We use your name, email, and WhatsApp number to identify you in our system and to send you account-related communications (for example, updates, billing information, or service notices).

• Communications: To contact you via WhatsApp, email, or SMS about your orders, account status, or requested services. For example, we send service reminders and notifications through WhatsApp using the phone number you provided. (Our WhatsApp messaging is handled through a Facebook App but that app does not store your data – it simply delivers the message.)

• Marketing and Promotions (with your consent): If you opt in (for example, by checking a consent box), we may send you promotional materials, newsletters, or special offers via WhatsApp or email. You always have the right to opt out of marketing communications.

• Website Improvement and Analytics: We use Google Analytics to analyze how visitors use our website. This helps us improve site performance, navigation, and content. As noted above, this analytics data is anonymized: we use it to “optimize the functionality, accessibility, performance and stability of the website” and to understand general user interestspopia.co.za. For example, we look at which pages are most viewed and how visitors navigate the site, but we do not link this data to your personal identitypopia.co.za.

• Fraud Prevention and Security: To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized activities, and to comply with legal requirements. We may use your data (such as transaction or login details) to verify your identity and protect against misuse or illegal activities.

• Legal and Regulatory Compliance: To fulfill any legal obligations (for example, tax or compliance reporting) and to protect our rights and property.

In all cases, we use personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected and agreed to. We will not use your personal information for any purpose other than those stated herepkf.co.za.

Third-Party Services

We use certain third-party services to support our website and communications, but we do not sell or share your personal information with third-party advertisers or marketers. The only third parties involved are:

• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (by Google LLC) to collect and analyze de-identified site usage data. Google’s cookies collect information about site visits, and Google provides us with aggregated reports. This data helps us improve the website and understand user behavior.  Importantly, your IP address is anonymized immediately so that Google cannot identify you personallypopia.co.za. We do not allow Google Analytics to collect personal identifiers, and we do not share your personal contact data with Google.

• WhatsApp/Facebook Messaging App: We use a Facebook-developed app (named “Cleaning Warehouse Uncanny Aut”) to send WhatsApp messages to customers. This app simply delivers the messages we send; it does not collect or store any of your personal information. In other words, your WhatsApp number is used only to send the message you receive from us, and the app does not keep a copy of your data on Facebook’s servers. This means that other users or services cannot access your personal details through the app.

• Hosting and Service Providers: We may use trusted service providers (such as web hosting or email services) who assist with our operations. These providers may have limited access to your information as needed to perform their functions (for example, to host our website or deliver our emails), but they are bound by confidentiality and may only use the data on our behalf.

We want to be clear that we do not share your personal data with any other third parties for marketing or sales purposes. As one privacy guideline states, “We don’t share your personal information with anyone”popia.co.za. The only exception to this is the limited use of analytics cookies (Google Analytics) as described abovepopia.co.za. We never sell your information or pass it on to unrelated businesses.

Your Rights

Under POPIA and applicable law, you have certain rights with respect to your personal information. We aim to give you control and transparency over your data. Specifically, you have the right to:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about youpkf.co.za. For example, you can view your Cleaning Warehouse profile or ask us to send you your data. To do this, contact us (see Contact Us below) and specify what information you want. We will verify your identity before providing any personal data.

If any of your data (such as your contact details) changes or is inaccurate, please let us know and we will correct it in our system. We will also require proof of identity to make such changes.

• Deletion/Erasure: You may request that we delete your personal data from our records. For example, if you leave the My Family Rewards program or close your account, you can ask us to remove your information. We will honor such requests unless we are legally required to retain certain data (for example, for tax or audit purposes). • Object or Opt-Out: You can opt out of marketing communications at any time. For instance, you can unsubscribe from our emails or send “STOP” in response to a WhatsApp message, and we will cease sending those messages. You can also disable cookies in your browser if you do not wish to allow analytics tracking (though this may affect website functionality).

• Analytics Inquiry: You may inquire about what analytics or usage data we have collected about you. While our analytics data is anonymized, you can still ask for details on how cookies track your visits or how we use that data for analysis. We will provide information about our analytics practices on request.

We will need to verify your identity (for example, by asking for your user ID or other identifying information) before honoring requests. We aim to respond to all requests promptly and in accordance with POPIA. Note that we may charge a reasonable fee for excessive or repetitive requests, as allowed by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been infringed.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement a variety of technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include secure servers, encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) for data in transit, firewalls, and access controls that restrict data access to authorized personnel only.
